Client Stories: The Franks Find Historic Charm

Indianapolis is a very connected city, but each neighborhood has a set of distinctive characteristics. Although the Franks were already Indy-locals, homeowners, and rental property owners – they were finally ready to find a more permanent place to call their own homestead. Now that they have settled into their Meridian-Kessler home, the Franks family offered to give the Kirk Realty Team a post-closing grand tour!

Having spent the last few years as homeowners in the Warren area, the Franks were ready to get inside of the I-465 loop! Ultimately, they landed in the beautiful neighborhood of Meridian-Kessler located in Midtown. First populated in the 1820s, the Meridian-Kessler area became platted and incorporated into the City of Indianapolis in the early 1900s. Today, the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood association describes itself as a distinctive, diverse and vibrant neighborhood within the city – with more than 6,000 homes and 15,000 residents. The Franks family landed in a beautiful 1920s English Tutor located in the heart of the historic Meridian-Kessler. Although their home features many modern updates, much of the original charm is still maintained. Boasted throughout the home are gorgeous hardwood floors, original crown-molding, a wood-burning fireplace, and lead glass windows.
